The song reached the top spot in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among 2015's Best Songs. That same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks that peaked at Billboard charts. This includes The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. This particular song was special because it was based on an interview with Rap-Up many listeners connected to her experience of doubting herself and learning how to love herself. Cara is known for infusing messages about mental health kindness as well as self-love and kindness into her music.
